Look Down, Idiot

For those who believe everything they read-
Unlearn your stupidity.
Contrary to popular belief, the written word
Knows how to dance within it’s creator’s rigidity.

Yearning to show all they know,
Often the letters will toil and sow
Unique blends of merry, mixed with shots of woe.

Fine! Forget the poetic discourse;
Ordinary words have their own power and force
Regardless of where they get their source.

Not limited by censorship
Or petty human quarrels,
They fight regardless of personal morals.

But, ya’ll just read the words as they come,
Everything sharp and simple and sweet,
Lines of black and white march, and you sit dumb.
I could set the world on fire, defeat
Evil or become the very thing I hate-
Vague words, and you won’t understand,
I take my speech, I hurl them, state
New facts, a fresh demand.
Give thinking a damn good go.

My message, for those like me who breathe in treason-
Everything is written with purpose, for a gods damned reason.
